The nephew of Iris West , he first appeared in Flash , which depicted his transformation into Kid Flash. Under the mantle of Kid Flash, Wally was depicted as a teenage sidekick to his uncle-by-marriage, Barry Allen , and a founding member of the Teen Titans. He would later return as the main Flash in , as part of the Infinite Frontier relaunch. In his debut as the Flash, Wally wears a distinct red and gold costume which, like his uncle, he traditionally stores compressed inside a ring. He later creates a costume directly out of Speed Force energy.

Wallace Rudolph "Wally" West is the fastest man alive, and the third speedster known as the Flash. Using his superspeed powers, he wields the Speed Force and becomes a costumed crime-fighter. He is a founding member of the Teen Titans. Wally West , named after his grandfather, is the only son of Rudy and Mary West. As a child, he developed a fascination with the superhero The Flash , having no idea that the speedster knew his aunt Iris in Central City. Without his mentor, Wally took up the mantle and became the next Flash , eventually taking on Bart Allen as his sidekick. Wally remained active as the Flash for years, eventually meeting Linda Park , who he would go on to marry and have two children with: Irey and Jai West. Eventually, in the wake of the Final Crisis , his Mentor, Barry Allen returned , and the two men worked as Flashes alongside one another. One day, the Flash fought longtime villain Abra Kadabra , who used his magical powers to cast Wally into the Speed Force and wipe his existence from everyone's memories.

The twins have inherited their father's speed, but only Iris decides to become a superhero as the new Kid Flashwally west logo, while Barry is a slacker who uses his speed just to waste time.
