But a friend and I saw the weather report for Key West — 90 degrees! After six years, almost out of the blue, two businessmen asked Kevin if he would take on a bar nearby named Hammerheads. For more than a dozen years, Kevin was the day-to-day owner, manager and performer at the bar that bore his name, but he began to find that the person venue was taking the passion away from his first love of music. We had got so big, so fast. Kevin sold up in and never regretted it, but after taking some time away he got an offer to play in Las Vegas and he moved there.
