To your eternity season 2 ending
As soon as the first season ended, it was immediately announced that a second season was scheduled for October as you can see below. The final episode of the second season was released today, and I have a lot to say about this season.
Fushi promises to help everyone achieve their dreams and opens up about his desire to spread his consciousness to fight the Nokkers and ensure world peace. After fighting an intense war that lasts for a long time, the citizens of Renril are thrilled to learn that the dark days are finally over when Fushi and his friends manage to defeat the Nokkers. While people are glad to reunite with the soldiers that have been fighting on the frontline, Fushi has a discussion with his friends. He asks them about their dreams and in reply, most of them open up about personal desires that they wish to fulfill. Although he is initially reluctant to talk, he then reveals that he now plans to expand his consciousness all over the world so that he could ensure peace. The Beholder uses his powers to stop everyone, which allows Fushi to go into his meditative state. Meanwhile, Kamu and Gugu make sure that Fushi is safe when he is lost in expanding his consciousness.

Rarely have I been less certain how I felt about a series at its conclusion than I am with Fumetsu no Anata e. This whole season was deeply, deeply weird. To the point where even though the final episode for now was pretty damn weird itself it looked positively conventional compared to most of it. I kind of enjoyed most of it, though a lot of that was just the novelty of the experience as opposed to the narrative itself. We got a survey of where everybody ended up, some reflection time, a feint at a happy ending, even a timeskip. The mother of all timeskips in fact. Renril is safe, the battle is won. Kamu even gets a clean shot with Yuiss, as it turns out her mom is a cougar. The best part was seeing Fushi even if he looked like Bon and Gugu cooking together just like old times. But things turned bittersweet pretty fast, in a direction a lot of viewers will likely struggle with. He plans to spread his consciousness across the entire world, making it a nokker-free zone, but in the process effectively abandoning his physical form. This is, in a word, depressing. We get the grim details of how everybody checks out — some better than others. Kobo Daishi — in life Kuukai — was a Buddhist priest and scholar and is probably the most revered figure in Japanese history.

Everyone dies, the end. Anyway, Fushi goes to sleep to spread his roots through the world so he can eliminate the Nokkers for good.
Unfortunately getting the citizens of Renril to cooperate is a big hurdle and they realize that convincing Princess Alma can give their slow progress a significant boost. Since Fushi has learned to create things and also remain in control of them by expanding his consciousness, he comes up with an innovative plan to protect the city from the Nokker attack. However, this plan is a bit slow, and citizens who are not willing to cooperate only slow down the overall progress. Interestingly, Bon has come back to Renril with Messer, who used to play with the princess when she was young. One day she had even challenged him to a game with the promise that she will grant him one wish if he wins. Unfortunately, they could never play that game since the princess was told to not spend time with Messer who was said to be the son of a servant. Interestingly, Bon later reveals to Fushi and his friends that he sees Messer as the future king of the city. He reveals that he suspects him of having some royal connection.

The mother of all timeskips in fact. I had gotten used to every new character dying a heartbreaking death as soon as I got attached to them, but as Fushi grew stronger and more in control of his powers in this season, he became better at protecting his friends. The 2 ghosts that followed Bon for example. However, you may visit "Cookie Settings" to provide a controlled consent. In episode 20, he said that he wanted to bring Eko back in a world without Nokkers, but then why did he bring back the others in the first place? Only time will tell. He also dies peacefully with his loved ones at his bedside. Something else I disliked about this season was the Guardians, particularly Kahaku. Topic Archived. This whole season was deeply, deeply weird. I don't believe in belts. His death returns all the vessels he took back to an unconscious Fushi. Rasu March 14, at am Reply. The preview shot of him drinking an iced coffee or whatever was a nice pick me up after the bummer ending.
Meanwhile, Bonchien begins marshaling the troops in the Uralis Kingdom and eventually selects three vessels for Fushi.
I mean maybe it would be boring but when Fushi wakes up he could just make a new body for them. Kahaku blows himself up to finish the Benett Church and eliminate the redhead high priest who was going after Fushi. That said, the arc which follows — set in what looks very much like the present day except with a ton more roots — seems to be pretty unpopular with manga readers. Rasu March 14, at am Reply. I get that the cult would, but the guy who rescued Hayase? This is the cry porn that brought me into the show to begin with. Only a few of them were able to return since Kahaku ran off with the rest within him. He also dies peacefully with his loved ones at his bedside.
I think, that anything serious.
