Strays 10x30; Fall Shannon Ross Nicole Power is back and on a roll. The shelter's thriving, the employees are gelling, and Hamilton's finally feeling like home. But her life is about to be turned upside down by the arrival of Travis, her abrasive and handsome new neighbour. The two immediately start fighting like, well, cats and dogs, but underneath the bickering lies something more. Another hitch in Shannon's plans is a new board member, Tonya, who seems to be grooming Joy to take Shannon's place. Meanwhile, Paul Tony Nappo attempts to buy his dream property, Liam Kevin Vidal finds new love after a break-up and Lara Emily Piggford questions her place at the shelter. Strays is a Canadian television sitcom, which aired on CBC Television for two seasons from to The series had been planned to start production in , but was delayed until early due to the COVID pandemic in Canada. The CBC announced in April that the show would not be picked up for a third season. The show initially faced some criticism for the implications of the fact that Shannon, the only white character in the core cast of Kim's Convenience , was being given her own spinoff over any of the show's Asian characters. Doyle favourably reviewed the first episodes of the series, writing that "The sheer energy of Strays is admirable.
