Just a really nice love song. This was great to see live on midnight special. It's a shame no one else has commented on this yet. Actually though, a seperate interpretation is that this might be about unrequited love, and the narrator doesn't understand why his feelings aren't being returned, and is in fact in denial of this rejection.
