OK, so I have been having a fit as of late with Simplify3D and printing objects. I slice them, send to the printer, and things start out ok, but then it knocks them loose during the print, so i have to cancel the job. If I slice with Slic3r Prusa Edition, and try, they print out without issue. Anyone know what is going on with Simplify3D? I previously had it working, but had to remove it and reinstall and since then, it is failing like this on everything I've tried to print. I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. That's all what I needed to know.

Is there by any chance someone who does know if it is possible to generate a file ready to print with support material to STL format. I'm asking this because I want to buy simplify 3D to do this kind of stuff because I believe simplify3D is much more enhanced than Z-suite. I really hope one day Zortrax will recognise it's not such a bad thing to have a 'bridge' to other slicer software. Answer is simple - NO, its not possible and it wont be, ever. We have closed ecosystem from the beginning and as far as I know, we are going to stick to it. Thanks to that, we are able to achieve outstanding plug and play print quality.

Simplify3D makes this easy: Just open the process settings and click the checkbox next to Generate Support. When you do this, the software will automatically add supports to the selected model based on the stock settings from your printer profile. Here the support structures are gray. But one of the great features of Simplify3D is that you are able to fully customize your support structures. First, automatic placement. This is probably fine for most parts.

Actually - thinking about it, it's started crashing since I plugged the sapphire pro into the computer and updated the usb drivers. Thanks in advance, Eddy. Other than that it works as it always has. I paused the print and checked the voltage on both the Hotend Fan connection and the Part-Cooling-Fan connection, which they both showed At first i was dissapointed. I figured I didn't have to really uninstall. The firmware on the printer probably doesn't support that. But when I put a Y-connector on the Part-Cooling-Fan test wire so to have the fan and meter connected at the same time, then I could see the true voltage change for the fan speed percentage. This is why there are settings for fan control Auto and the fact that the support and part layers are built individually thus allowing cooling where support to part separation is needed. You can then run V5 on the otherPC. I realized at one point I was trying to fix problems by making too many changes, so have decided to make all hardware-level adjustments on the printer directly, and relegate slicer adjustments to issues with specific prints.
