Shakespeare and co tote bag

On this last visit to Paris, I finally made it to Shakespeare and Shakespeare and co tote bag, probably the best known independent bookstore in the world. Over the years, the bookstore changed locations and ownership, but still feels very much like a time capsule— a little ramshackle, with shelves heaving with books and nooks hiding vintage typewriters and other artifacts.

As a souvenir and also because I love Shakespeare I got Macbeth. I was trying to find a similar copy of Hamlet but no luck. The pages are gold bordered like so. I also got this cool notebook to put all my blogging ideas in. Paris has many street bookstores selling second hand books which was like my dream come true. I soon discovered most of the books were in French and settled upon buying the French version of Lolita. I plan on buying the English version and hope to build on my French vocab.
