He comes to everyone's eventually. One day, he goes to The Goddess of life, Toriel. It seems ridiculous that death and life have finally met. After fighting, Toriel and R! Sans finally calm down. They talk, they vent, they release emotions they didn't know they had.

Reaper sans

Death was originally not a thing ever since Reapertale was created. But it was born due to the shift of the Balance that kept Reapertale stable. However, as the number of humans grew, the Balance of the world began to skew. With nothing to kill off these beings, the Balance will be tilted and everything will be abrupt into chaos. Asgore, Gerson, and Gaster knew about this risk, so they decided to make the only thing capable of countering life: Death. Life, disgusted with the idea, fled from the Godly Realm and went into the human realm to hide in complete isolation. To create death, it needed to be the complete opposite of Toriel, who was light. So thus, they had to find something related to the dark. Asgore then harnessed a blackhole, due to it being the closest thing to represent Death at that time. Gaster was tasked with their actual creation, binding these elements and endowing them with Magic. However, Gaster had no real idea on how creation worked in the first place, yet he had to try regardless. During the creation of Death: there were unpredictable consequences. As a result, two death gods were made instead of one; Sans and Papyrus. Sans' main job is simple: reap every soul when it's their time to go.

He is the god of death alongside his brother, Reapertale Papyrus. He was created by the god of magic, Gaster. Sans was okay with what he had. Reaping sinful souls had been what he'd done for the past centuries, and he didn't enjoy it, but he could manage it. Unfortunately, after he had accidentally killed the person he loved, he went crazy and suicidal, with bits of his soul lost. Toriel helped him, getting back his sanity. However, his soul is still not complete, and he is still partially insane.

Reapertale is an Undertale AU made by Ren, an already well-known artist, the universe originally stemmed from a shipping Soriel , and eventually grew to be a well-established and popular AU with time. In this AU, all the characters are gods, mainly based on Classical Mythology , but it also incorporates traits of Christianity and Egyptian Mythology. The main cast of characters represented certain elements regarding their world as a whole. As previously mentioned, the characters had domains which they ruled, with each domain being given based on the character's personality.
