I felt so sad for her, and also incredibly impressed by her bravery. I get that young Miss Barrymore had a co-writer as she was just fifteen at the time it was published. She describes her addictions with such force and honesty that you can't help but feel what she's going through. Instead however I had to make all my own mistakes and now I think maybe I should have paid more attention to her memoir. I learned more naughty stuff from this book than Are You There God?
