Retribution Paladin has received a major rework in the Season of Discovery, alleviating many of the issues with the Class, while also adding some fun tools and abilities allowing you to maximize your damage. The addition of Runes such as Crusader Strike , Exorcist and Divine Storm will not only fill what was once a sizable gap in the rotation, but allow you the mana necessary to continuously use ability-filling time that was once spent only auto attacking. While not only being an incredible damage dealer, Retribution Paladin offers some of the games most powerful buffs and life-saving cooldowns in the form of their unique Blessings.

At level 40 Retribution Paladin unlocks some of its most powerful talents in the form of Vengeance and Sanctity Aura the only downside to this being how deep they are found in the Retribution tree so it is unlikely you will have many if any points to spend outside of it. Crusader Strike is the default choice for your Glove slot as the other options available do not offer much as a damage dealer. We do not cast many if any healing abilities so Beacon of Light offers little to no benefit, and while Retribution Paladin tanking has become quite popular Hand of Reckoning should only really be considered in a situation where you are the primary tank in a run. Rebuke can be taken in a situation where your group is in dire need of additional interrupts. Divine Sacrifice greatly reduces incoming damage to your party so its a great tool if you find your group constantly struggling with a high incoming damage section of a fight.
