Havel the rock

Havel the Rock is a powerful opponent found at the bottom of the spiral watchtower leading up to the Taurus Demon in the Undead Burgguarding the entrance to Darkroot Basin. He wields a massive dragon's tooth hammer and Havel's Greatshield while wearing the heavy Havel's Set. Its placement further cements Havel's role in the war against the dragons, which occurred in the vast expanse of archtrees below Lordran. This little link implies that it was indeed Lord Gwyn who locked Havel away once he turned hollow, or maybe he turned hollow after being imprisoned.

Havel the Rock is a dangerous optional sub-boss who guards the bottom of the tower that leads to Darkroot Basin. He was locked in the tower for unknown reasons before the events of Dark Souls. It is known that he was a former bishop of the Way of the White and was close friends with Kingskeeper Frampt and Lord Gwyn. He hates magic, and is the creator of the magic-protecting miracles Magic Barrier and Great Magic Barrier. His hatred of magic is also evident by his attire and weapon, both of which are focused on physical protection and physical damage.
