Hello young artists! Follow my simple step-by-step instructions to create your own vibrant aquatic friend on paper. Step 1: Draw a long, slightly curved horizontal line. Step 2: Draw a larger curved line above the initial line to create a fish fin, as shown in the picture. Step 3: Extend the body line outwards and create a large, ornate, wavy tail, typical of betta fish. The tail should look almost like a fan with scalloped edges. Step 4: Sketch the dorsal fin on top of the body with a wavy line for the edge to give it a flowing appearance. Step 5: Add the pectoral fin by creating two curved lines, as shown in the picture. Step 6: Draw the bottom fins using a similar wavy pattern, starting from the belly. Step 7: Give more definition to the face by darkening the eye and adding detail like the pupil.

Finally, draw the belly of the fish with a fairly straight line going back from the fin and then rounding up near the end.
