Cinematic and insightful, with one-liners worthy of Raymond Chandler on a good day and a sprawling plot that unfolds in a James Ellroyesque underworld of sexual predators, crooked police officers and unscrupulous wheeler-dealers, Everybody Knows is a tour de force. I thought this started off well and had an intriguing and creepy concept, but it seems either the writers didn't know to end it properly or the number of episodes were curtailed, as the final one was fairly poor. Then I start to write, asking myself again and again how this character should behave next, what is realistic, and above all: How would I behave in this situation? Superbly acted by the whole team, brilliant writing and direction. Other characters were really good including the latest of the victims.
