Connor was a recurring character in the second season. He is portrayed by Mark Kelly. Nothing is known about Connor before the apocalypse except that he has a brother, Reed. Connor cooks steak for Alicia in the galley of his ship and tries to charm her. When the lights go out, Connor leaves to get the generator going again. Later, when The Abigail arrives, Connor radios the boat, thinking it's still under Reed's command. Connor agrees.

He is the captain of a gang of pirates who pursue and capture The Abigail. Connor is also the older brother of Reed. He served as the secondary antagonist for the first half of Season 2. Connor is the greedy leader of a gang of pirates. His group raid and capture survivors under his command. However, he is not unreasonable. Unlike Reed who's more sadistic, Connor isn't as brutal as he is willing to let his captives go while Reed wants to execute them. He does genuinely care about his brother, Reed, and is willing to trade Travis for him. However, unbeknownst to Connor, Reed has turned into a walker which Connor is shown to be shocked and saddened by. He ends up being bitten by the zombified Reed.

Unfortunately, the episode was poorly executed, riddled with bad decisions, and frustratingly lacking in logic. I suspect, however, that the series had to pull some punches in the episode, so to speak, to keep the Connor storyline alive until the midseason finale. A good beard changes everything.
