Death of a Salesman actor Friels takes ill. Actor Colin Friels is recovering after he collapsed midway through a performance at Sydney's Belvoir St Theatre last night. The year-old, who is playing the lead role of Willy Loman in Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, stumbled towards the stage door before collapsing during the second act of the play. A Belvoir spokeswoman said the actor had not been feeling well during the interval but wanted to go back on. A doctor in the audience provided assistance to Friels, who was then taken to St Vincent's Hospital where he had a number of tests. He is now resting at home and tonight's performance has been cancelled, with Saturday's shows depending on the advice of doctors. The sold-out production is due to transfer to Sydney's Theatre Royal in October.
