Had the opportunity to cover Rainbow Kitten Surprise last night. Again, we really lucked out with the beautiful weather.

This was perfect medicine for a grey, rainy, cold night. The audience seemed to be filled with heavy metal connoisseurs, and let me tell you, they knew this was a show not to miss. Each band had great chemistry with the audience, and I personally really appreciated their terrific performances. You felt the bands were enjoying the show as much as we were. It was great. From the photography point of view I was worried the lighting would be low so I brought the Canon 50mm which I was running at F1. This lens helped a lot and I managed to pull a few shots off that would even be too dark at F2.
