Located in a small coastal village in beautiful Sonoma County, the Bodega Bay Grange was founded by local fishermen in Read a brief story on our colorful origins here. Commercial fishing is still very important in this community and we recognize the contribution these brave men and women make as they risk their lives to bring fresh seafood to our table. The town is now named in honor of Juan Francisco de la Bodega y Quadra , a Spanish naval officer who explored the west coast of North America as far north as Alaska during multiple voyages of discovery in the late 18th century. North of town lies a long coastal exposure of alternating rock outcrops and sandy beaches which is known as Sonoma Coast State Beach.
