Monday night saw eight acts take to the stage in the hopes of impressing the judges but more importantly the viewers at home, as only their votes can send them through. The show got off to a flying start, well, quite literally, as Ant McPartlin took a spectacular tumble just minutes after cameras started rolling. But, like a true pro, he laughed it off and the show must go on, so the semi-finalists took to the stage and gave it their all. We had everything from powerhouse vocals to dance troupes, and from magic tricks to, erm, farting? Alas, not everyone could make it through, with Ant and Dec first announcing the three acts with the most votes. Amy Lou blew everyone away with her emotional first audition and gave birth just six weeks before the semi-finals. Refusing to let that stop him, he was determined to live out his dream, which saw him earn a BGT first as all four of the judges pressed the golden buzzer for him.
