Zsa voyager

The Voyager works just as well as part of a permanent desktop setup. Build your entire workstation around it and enjoy great ergonomics while leaving lots of room for a pointing device, a cup of coffee, and your favorite cat. The Voyager can do much more than your typical keyboard. Customize it for your personal typing style and pack it full of handy shortcuts for the apps you use most. Oryx is a free, simple, and powerful keyboard layout editor that you can use right now, in your browser. Point-and-click your way to the ultimate in comfort and productivity. The Voyager has a bright and colorful LED under every key: These LEDs can dance across the surface of the keyboard using a variety of included animations.

This is lovely and kind of tempting but, like every keyboard-nerd keyboard, it's made by and for someone who wants the smallest possible number of keys in front of them and a bunch of toggleable modes. I want more keys. I want my dedicated f-keys back so that when I launch an action in Illustrator I don't have to hold down the fn key, along with whatever other modifier key I may be using to distinguish between a couple other action assigned to that key. Their Moonlander's much more sensible, with a baker's dozen of meta keys around each half's keyboard block. Hitting a little one-handed chord almost seems reasonable, compared to all the one-handed stretches I've got in my daily art routine. I'd be super-tempted by this or an Ergodox EZ if they were putting them on sale because they are no longer the new hotness, they might actually see integration into my workflow, but there's absolutely no price difference. I already have the baked part. Thanks for the inspiration, keyboard with too few bucky bits! It's a full keyboard, with extra keys you can map, and you can choose what switch you want. It's marketed for gamers, but it's good for everyone. My one complaint is I find the space bar too large. I started used the Freestyle after decades of MS Natural keyboards. It took a while to get used to the size of the space bar. I remapped the left spacebar to cmd for my Mac. Makes keybaord shortcuts much easier on the hands.
These small keyboards trade-off the benefit of "bring all the keys within easy reach of the hands" at the cost of a more complicated layout. It helps me remember where less frequently used shortcuts are, zsa voyager, and is rather useful to zsa voyager and I'm sure many others use it in a similar manner.
In this post I try to summarize my thoughts on the ZSA Voyager , a split, low-profile, ergonomic keyboard after using it for three months. I have had very little previous experience on mechanical keyboards. As I typed more and more with the ThinkPad keyboard both external and internal , my hands adjusted to the flat keyboard and short key travel. Early this year I decided to switch my keyboard layout from Finnish to US. I had tried to make the switch before but failed.

A short cable, 22cm long. For scale, this is approximately as long as a European hedgehog. A medium cable, 38cm long. That's as long as a fennec fox, if you don't count the tail. If these lengths seem oddly specific, it's because they are. Just like the keycaps, the legs, and the carrying case, these cables are custom-made for the Voyager. Each serves a specific purpose and is meant for one particular style of setup:. The right cable, for the right job.

I think Keyboardio really nailed the layout, to the point that pretty much all other similar keyboard designs are DOA for me. You already have one for the house and one for the office You can map all the way up to F24 then! Where I found it incredibly frustrating was with the Razer laptops, where the rainbow stream would run constantly until the Synapse software finally launched and it switched to your preferred configuration. I started used the Freestyle after decades of MS Natural keyboards. You jump to a definition by hitting CTRL-]. If anyone has other suggestions, it would be much appreciated. I don't really like having a lightshow on my keyboard so the LEDs are off all the time for me but in the past I've used them to change color depending on the layout I'm using for instance. Thank you!! The ability to hot-swap your key switches and caps is great. Before purchasing anything new, I asked around if anybody would have a split keyboard that I could test. I was initially concerned about the amount of keys in the keyboard. I hate wireless anything and the pairing issues that arise after a battery swap or anything.
The slim new Voyager mechanical keyboard that ZSA launched Wednesday, radically split into two low-profile pieces, looks mighty futuristic. Joking references to the future aside, ZSA has been making split keyboards since , including a chunkier one called the Moonlander Mark I.
The configuration I use on my Corne Keyboard, which only has three thumb keys per side, allows for a ton of controls using just those 6 layers. I'd be super-tempted by this or an Ergodox EZ if they were putting them on sale because they are no longer the new hotness, they might actually see integration into my workflow, but there's absolutely no price difference. It's "I don't mind moving my hand to hit the key" vs "I don't mind holding down some Fn key to hit the key". However, it had only 52 keys. Our first keyboard, going strong for years. This is strictly a wired keyboard. I am not able to invest in learning a new keyboarding process because I have to work on too many different computers over a year span that I have no control over, and I don't want my muscle memory to erode because of one special keyboard on my home workstation. They would need to switch to ZMK first in my opinion. Thanks for the inspiration, keyboard with too few bucky bits! First, you need to hold a modifier to bring your F key layer, possibly a separate or chorded modifier to get you to the F-keys above 10 since you only have have 10 numeric digits. At home on your desk The Voyager works just as well as part of a permanent desktop setup. I've used an "ergonomic" "split layout" keyboard for years. The out of the box keys are perfectly fine for those not interested in that feature. I'd love a Moonlander with a low profile like this. Niether does my friend.
