Although it is typical for artists to seek out new agencies when their contract with their former label ends, an unusually high number of artists have departed from YG Entertainment this year. Starting with Big Bang member T. P , followed by Taeyang and Daesung, all three revealed that they will be parting ways with YG Entertainment. Soon after, Daesung also revealed that he will be leaving YG Entertainment. Bang Ye Dam explained he wanted to pursue his dreams as a producer and decided to leave YG Entertainment. Meanwhile, Mashiho decided to leave due to health reasons. Already, YG Entertainment had lost many artists this year, but on December 30, the agency revealed that all 6 members of iKON decided to leave the label.
