Originally written by famed author, Neil Gaiman in , the story of Coraline Jones and the alternate universe inside her house has impacted and terrified an entire generation of children and their parents. These days it seems like people know Coraline more as a film and not as a book, so what a lot of fans may not know is that the character, Wyborne "Wybie" Lovat was created solely for the film and does not exist in the source material. In the film, Wybie is introduced as a geeky, eccentric, adventurous kid who meets Coraline by the old well near her house. He drives a dirtbike and wears a black coat almost exclusively.
