Ann gets the ideas for her books from many different places. When you take into account that she plays an unforgivably mean trick on Mary Anne in the next book, you can conclude that Dawn is just a horrible person. I suppose I didn't understand her actions because I'm wtf richard baby book a child of divorce and haven't experienced gaining a second family.

And Ann M. Ann has always enjoyed writing. I'm just being nosey but Richard appeared to have been unflinchingly honest about all the events in his life that I would have expected some mention of his stepson. Later she assumes that Mary Anne knew all about the move to her house, and that she would be thrilled by it. Her first one is about a sojourn overseas with her husband and children. I really enjoyed the book and wondered about the step son too, did lots of Googling to no avail, like pp I came to the conclusion that it was a privacy issue. Why are they suddenly making a big deal about Claudia's leg that was broken in book 19? I suppose I didn't understand her actions because I'm not a child of divorce and haven't experienced gaining a second family. Sharon did seem a bit miffed at it, so maybe that's also setting up for some kind of tension between the couple in the sequel, especially since Richard seemed hurt stupidly so, IMHO that Sharon didn't want to try his veal at their wedding dinner. I do kinda side-eye Richard here for deciding to break the engagement news to Mary Anne and Dawn 1 at Sharon's birthday party and 2 without discussing it with Sharon first.

Kristie fabk. There would've been pressure to pretend to be happy so as not to ruin Sharon's birthday. I would have imagined the son would have grown up in their household and have been there throughout the time Joan was dying but no mention of him at all. We don't need all the exposition. Inconsistencies aside, but that will be saved for part two. I listened to the desert island discs when he was on it and this prompted me to buy his book! This is objectively the worst BSC book I've read so far. Also, the side plot with the fighting twin sisters was just as aggravating. Since I imagine the papers would be all over any rift, and he has been acknowledged at the end, I can only assume that he is a very private person and did not want to be mentioned. I always found the backstory of Mary Anne's dad and Dawn's mom to be one of the sweeter things of this series. Write a Review. And rubbish.
