I leveled around 12 alts in Torghast with quick dailies rogues, mages, druids, hunters, could just invis straight to the end, kill the 4 bosses and get a level of xp , and since Torghast didn't drop any gear Heirlooms were great to keep ilvl up with the deluge of xp. I agree Heirlooms are less useful in DF and I won't be buying them this time either but they still offer some convenience. The prices are absurd again. When are they going to make ONE item that upgradesd the loom to max and give it a fair price? The entire upgrade system behind Heirlooms has gotten ridiculous, stupidly expensive and confusing.
They don't offer a noticeable power benefit, the QoL gain is very small, and they're really quite wow upgrading heirlooms if you want to kit out four armor types. The prices are absurd again. Gronntooth War Horn.
Who buys heirlooms and heirloom upgrades since Blizzard removed their experience gain increases??? I think the weapons are still worth upgrading. You can also buy the upgrade tokens from the TW vendor this week. It cost me badges for a weapon upgrade. Considering how few trinkets I seem to get, I think I will upgrade the trinket heirloom. It is not unique-equipped so it is actually two slots and I can use it on every character.
Yea, I'm not paying that much when they don't even give EXP boost anymore lmao. When they added the last rank, they lowered the cost of the previous ones and kept the price of the highest rank the same. Why are they not doing that now? I honestly dont understand the need to have to use gold to upgrade heirlooms. Couldn't they just be upgraded automatically at some point of the expansion?

By Stan , March 13, in News. Blizzard added two new upgrade tokens for Heirlooms, which means you can use them throughout the whole Dragonflight leveling process. The armor upgrade token costs 1, badges or 5K gold and the weapon upgrade token costs 1, badges or 7. It's so weird that they shrunk the leveling process and nerfed most heirlooms to the point of worthlessness but keep increasing the upgrade costs. At this point all heirlooms should scale to 50 by default, with upgrades to 60 and So many downsides compared with the benefits that they give. Unless they give Heirlooms some sort of better functionality beyond "you don't have to worry about getting new gear for that 5 hours it takes to level" it is in no way even REMOTELY worth the price to upgrade a whole set for an alt.
