A black leather belt and a pair of Nikes pulled it all together. It was all thanks to Awoke Vintage in Williamsburg. My arrival in New York was an exhale. Coming from confining suburbs, the city gave me space to breathe. For the first time, I was immersed in free expression and inspired to take part. I had always been a lover of fashion, but only as an observer, never a participant.
