The family of the man who died when a Springfield Township police officer crashed into his car is suing the township , its chief and the estate of the deceased officer. During a press conference Thursday, lawyers for the family said the officer was driving reckless, had done it in the past and the township failed to adequately address it. William Dunson was driving on Hamilton Avenue March 31 when Officer Tim Unwin lost control of his cruiser and crossed a median flipping his vehicle and colliding with Dunson, investigators said. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department investigated the crash.
