The Smart Dog Company is a small business based in Yorkshire. My business came about when I adopted a rescue whippet who had been very badly treated. I needed to make him a coat and something to keep him whippet apparel at night and as a very keen dress maker and crafts person I set to work. We will be closed from March 8th until Tuesday 19th March for a short break, whippet apparel.

There is SO much of it available now! There are some basic whippet clothes that you will need. It might sound obvious but a warm jumper or three is a basic requirement. So too is a coat that will give protection from rain and or snow. Ideally look for washable items, jumpers made from fleece — easy to care for, wash well and dry quickly. All of our clothes for whippets are fitted to their very specific shape, slim necks, deep chests and small waists, generic dog clothes do not fit whippets well!
