My family and I were visiting Flowood from Arkansas for a baseball tournament and found this steak place using our GPS system.

Cuisines: American , Steak , Steakhouse. See All Photos. We had friends with us and it was busy as usual. Went in and got the porterhouse, I needed a wheel barrel to get out because I couldn't quit eating it was so good. The salad was great and the service was superb.

Hours : Terry Rd, Terry Menu. First time eating here and the food was great. The sirloin steak tips and shrimp were seasoned perfectly. The country fried steak was just prepared just how I like it not fried to death! It was just right and the white gravy even better. Great food! October This was the best dining experience my family has had since we moved to MS earlier this year! The sampler platter was great so all my kids could try the appetizers, the fried green tomatoes and the garlic knots were our favorites! Our sirloins were tender, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The price was right and I felt like the food was worth the cost. Our service was excellent and the atmosphere is casual which is perfect for my family of 6! We will definitely be back! If you can get in, they have great food. The best way is to call and get call ahead seating, however call early or eat late! Let's just say that I've never had a bad experience or bad dish at Bravo! Wendell Smith's is located in the older part of West Nashville off of Charlotte Pike, a major thoroughfare running in and out of town. Immediately upon walking up to the restaurant you see a giant neon sign. It's both impressive and unimpressive all at the same time. Which, I guess, is appropriately analogous to the restaurant itself. The neons are dazzling when lit, but because the restaurant closes around every evening, it's rare that you actually get to see them when you're dining there. Meat and threes are traditionally served at lunch locales. Neon lights aren't exactly all that impressive during the peak daylight hours. That said, when they are lit, they're a great throwback to days gone by, just like Wendell Smith's.
