A hometown girl, she attended Many schools where she was active in numerous activities that included MHS Band, where she served as a majorette and was crowned Miss Sabine Parish in She married Floyd Giblin in and four years later when her father offered the young couple the family business, and with their little auburn-haired toddler in tow, Susan and Floyd moved back to Many to become the second generation owners of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Sherald Hicks, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 86, surrounded by his family on February 25, Sherald lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity that touched the lives of all who knew him. Sharlee Granny could be found in her garden, chicken yard, kitchen, or in her chair reading about homesteading or studying the Bible.
