Packing his film with contrasting emotions and diverse elements like romance, betrayal, philandering, ambition, avarice and subterfuge , debut director Chellapandian weaves a story that takes a non linear mode as it delves into the lives of the various characters and their predicaments. While he has managed to sustain the suspense-intrigue factors in this vendetta driven plot, the frequent back and forth narrative may be a tad confusing to a layman. Two untoward incidents in a locality, one following the other, draw the police to the area. One was an incident of chain snatching, the victim a pregnant woman, taken by a passing auto driver to a hospital and untraceable since. The other was the brutal castration and murder of Kannan Michael , his copse discovered by his maid and a neighbour Shriman. As the investigating cop Chellapandian, an unfussy performance digs deeper into the two crimes, some shocking facts emerge. The women by and large are the victims here, and play minor parts.
