It is a popular holiday destination, km south of Perth. Anytime Orienteering provides an interesting activity for both visitors and locals, wa orienteering courses of different lengths to suit a range of ages and physical fitness.

The event is open to any Secondary student enrolled in any school in the state. Courses involve students running through park, trails and bush. Invoices are incorporated in the Registration Form. No separate invoices will be issued. Electronic bank payment is preferred. Any cheques should be made payable to Orienteering Association of WA.

Orienteering is suitable for people of all ages and levels of fitness. No-one is too young or too old. Traditional orienteering events require you to use a map and compass and find controls in a specific order ; the skill is in navigat ing the course, punch ing each control point and reach ing the finish in the fastest time , taking care not to be distracted and mis - punch a control from a different course. Outside the summer months, events are usually held on Sunday mornings between 9. During the summer months, orienteering events take the form of the MetrO series which are held on Saturday evenings at 5pm. You are encouraged to register and enter in Eventor; see instructions on registering for an Eventor account. You can register as a casual member on Eventor without joining OWA.

Wa orienteering

Cascade Orienteering Club hosts orienteering meets year-round in Washington State. These meets are open to all and being a member or experienced is not required. Newcomers are welcome to show up, talk to the beginner instructor for a few minutes, then jump right into orienteering. However, some people may want more preparation.
