The GTI is pricier so will need a bit more upfront and it means financing over a slightly longer period, but both are within budget after some man-maths, vw polo autotrader.

Be the first to see new and used Volkswagen Polo Vivo Cars for sale. The Uitenhage-built Vivo is famously inexpensive to run, offering German build quality at a pocket-friendly price. Compared to its competition, its design is not as exciting, but this is hardly enough to put off prospective buyers. It is a car for our time that celebrates opportunity and possibility," says Volkswagen. Entry-level models offer the best value. Good used Polos are easy to find, as there are just so many. Luggage space in the boot is litres and can extend to litres with the simple one-piece folding of the rear bench. Its suspension has been developed using the McPherson strut. The Polo Vivo still claims a spot in the top 5 best-selling passenger vehicles in South Africa, but is this B-segment hatch still the aspirational vehicle that it has been for decades? We spent a week with the latest Vivo High Line model to see if it can still compete. Volkswagen - the people's car, it's right there in the name.

I'm going to call my Dad now Assuming the minor MOT work is truthfully minor ie a new tyre, replacing a blown bulb - phone the seller and ask them for solid details Needs "minor tidying" for MoT Post by metz » Thu May 13, pm i would buy it myself if it were closer. The G40 engine might be made of slightly more hardwaring stuff though as it has to cope with the boost pressure Though I think the difference for CL to GT is basically that without the blower. So, this G40 needs a home until after my exams. Post by DanW » Thu May 13, pm damn, coome on! I wonder how much extra Adrian Flux would charge me if I stuffed a G40 engine in my car. As a previous poster has suggested, I'd go for a slightly older Golf GTI, or if fun is more of a priority, look for a Mini though other fun alternatives are certainly available. Post by Krupa » Thu May 13, pm Dad says I don't have a strong enough case to get this, reckons there's a lot of stuff which I need to think about before I get carried away. The GTI is pricier so will need a bit more upfront and it means financing over a slightly longer period, but both are within budget after some man-maths. Would love to upgrade to a G at some point tho. The AAV block is also apparently weaker than the G40 PY one, and lacks the oil feed taps on the block for the charger as well as the fixing for the G40's knock sensor. I wanted one of the new Polo GTI's but the deals on them are absolutely awful. Problems I've got though: - I need somewhere to store the car till I can get the conversion done - I need some willing souls to put the engine in I'll pay you! Post by Krupa » Thu May 13, pm damn, Dad's in a meeting, calling him back in ten minutes Post by metz » Thu May 13, pm. I can't afford that car, but I could possibly afford it if I nicked the engine and broke it for spares. The kick of a GTI is tHe cherry on top.
