As Danvers was fighting and abducting her teammates, Tony Stark started preparing a plan against Vox Supreme's bombs. As Carol delivered the final bodies to Vox Supreme, the Avengers put into action a plan to retrieve the bombs and defuse them. When she returned to New Arctilan, Carol attempted to turn against Vox Supreme, but they restrained her to harness her power as well.

In Death of the Inhumans , the Kree created Vox to eliminate the Inhumans due to an old myth that the Midnight King would destroy the empire. When the Attilan Royal Family went to a meeting of some major Inhuman tribes, they found out that the leaders of the tribes were killed. Triton was checking one of the bodies when a bomb exploded, killing him. After that, the Inhumans found out that the Kree had wiped out New Attilan. Vox had killed numerous Inhumans such as Flagman and Naja in the process. Some Inhumans that were also present were Maximus and Lockjaw , who were seemingly killed in the process. Karnak went to talk with the Kree, but Vox outmatched him in skill and stabbed Karnak using his fingers. Then it was revealed that Karnak was a distraction so that Black Bolt could come close. Vox teleported behind Black Bolt and slit his throat. Black Bolt was almost disabled from his powers, but not completely.
