The trip to Vernick fish was planned months in advance as it took that long to get a great reservation that was at an usual dinner time vs. This was a birthday celebration so I wanted to get dressed up and The decor is contemporary and fantastic! The service was even better We decided to start with the warm shrimp cocktail and mussels dishes! Both were outstanding! The sauce on the warm shrimp cocktail was tangy with a lemon zest finish! The mussels were in a Bolognese Sauce that wasn't over powering! Our entree's were the Grilled Branzino and Grouper!

Dined at this wonderful restaurant last night and would encourage anyone visiting Philly or wanting a great place to dine to make reservations far in advance and go. I was waitlisted and got a call, thankfully. The bar area has full menu but was packed We were right behind the chefs table which was great because e got to see everything coming out and loved the vibe. The waitstaff was amazing and service could no have been better. That was exactly how my husband and I both felt about the meal. We had several small plated squid, king crab, mushroom ravioli and split Black Sea bass. Everything was outstanding. The combination of flavors was perfect and the ambience made the experience so warm and inviting. If you are looking for a place to have a great evening, book this wonderful restaurant.
