Velobuild frames look very similar to those made by Pinarello. The frame reviewed in this article and on youtube had a striking resemblance to a Dogma F. Shortly after purchase, Velobuild got in touch and explained the requested colour was not available and they offered silver instead. This was accepted. The packaging was functional; the items had not been damaged in transit. After removing the considerable amounts of flexible foam, the frame was exposed.

For the road cyclist looking for a unique bike and who is not concerned with brand names and logos, building up one of these frames with the finishing kit and groupset of choice is a very tempting prospect. But if the price seems too good to be true, can we trust these frames?
