Have a look in the green owners hand book at the fuse location s. Maybe take it to a professional auto electrician and get them to diagnose it only an hours labour before lashing out. My last alternator did a similar thing on a old Falcon i had, i found out the power steering hose had leaked straight down to the alternator which got oil in it and stuffed it, low RPM it use to turn the Alt light on, higher RPM it was fine, the oil had contaminated the brushes inside.
