The movie is a prequel to the Van Wilder franchise, which has gained a cult following over the years. It tells the story of Van Wilder's early days as a college student at Coolidge College. The movie revolves around Van Wilder's attempts to party his way through college, while also trying to win the heart of his crush, Kaitlyn Kristin Cavallari. Along the way, he faces a number of obstacles, including a disciplinary committee, a rival frat house, and a dean who wants to see him fail.
