Juggernaut Cain Marko is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Cain Marko is a regular human who was empowered by a gem belonging to the deity Cyttorak , becoming a literal human juggernaut. He possesses superhuman strength and durability, and is virtually immune to most physical attacks; his helmet also protects him from mental attacks. Although not a mutant, Juggernaut has been featured as a prominent member of the Brotherhood of Mutants. He is also the stepbrother of Professor X. Since his debut during the Silver Age of Comic Books , the character has appeared in over five decades of Marvel publications, featuring prominently in the X-Men titles and starring in two one-shot solo publications.
Ultimate juggernaut
Empowered by the demon lord Cyttorak, the Juggernaut is imbued with unstoppable momentum that uses magic to break the laws of physics. So what happens when Cain Marko's unstoppable force meets a truly immovable object? Cain Marko, Professor X's stepbrother, became the Juggernaut by sneaking into a cave with Charles, obtaining the Crimson Gem, and becoming the human avatar of Cyttorak , an extra-dimensional entity from the Crimson Cosmos. Although he has historically been susceptible to psychic and mental attacks, which has put him at odds with his brother Charles Xavier, Juggernaut's strength and stamina are nearly unmatched. His most important power is the ability to manipulate momentum, which makes him functionally unstoppable. Juggernaut's powers are often depicted inconsistently , but at the height of his abilities, he can barrel through any obstacle. This forces his enemies to find new, creative ways to defeat him, for instance by making sure he has nothing to run on. One of the founding members is Mzee, who was granted the powers of an African god by a mystic artifact known as the "Crooked Emerald. Since the Crooked Emerald holds the spirit of the African Lord of Physical Will, Mzee is imbued with "impossible strength" specifically stated to be beyond anything on Earth. It's clear that Juggernaut was the inspiration for Mzee, as the two characters share incredibly similar lore. Juggernaut's abilities come from the Crimson Gem, while Mzee's come from the Crooked Emerald, with both empowered by gods, and both operating according to mystic 'rules' rather than pure strength. The difference is that while Juggernaut manipulates momentum, Mzee manipulates strength. Usually, Juggernaut is capable of running down far stronger opponents due to the mystical nature of his powers, but what would happen if he was to run head first into one of Mzee's punches? Two mystically unstoppable forces would meet, finally answering the question of how Juggernaut's powers would react to such a situation.

The Juggernaut is one of Marvel's most unstoppable villains, but when the X-Men's Colossus swiped his powers and got his own armor upgrade from Cyttorak, he made the original powerhouse look weak in comparison. As Juggernaut abandoned his powers, Colossus ended up gaining them and used them to become even more unstoppable. Juggernaut has sparred with the X-Men for years, using the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak to give him unstoppable powers. The villain has battled against Colossus on a handful of occasions, including a drunken fight where the two Marvel Comics strongmen leveled a bar. Juggernaut ended up knocking Colossus out cold in the testosterone-filled battle. Colossus would help Deadpool take down Juggernaut in live-action, where Ryan Reynolds played the villain in Deadpool 2. The two strongmen always seem to have beef, which made Colossus taking his powers and armor in Fear Itself that much more enjoyable.
