There are many bilingual students in schools located in rural areas of the east and southeast of Turkey. Especially bilingual students at the primary school level experience language conflict during the process of acquiring Turkish as a second language. Many teachers from the provinces of Turkey, especially in the western regions, are appointed to schools where bilingual students are educated. It is known that most of the teachers have problems in adapting to the culture and language of the region. These problems cause language and culture shock for teachers. These problems cause various negativities on students and teachers during education. In this study, language conflict experienced in bilingual students; it was aimed to question the size and consequences of language and culture shock in teachers.
