I used this to aerate clay soil in my yard. The spikes fully penetrate when soil is damp. This product recommends a minimum of 24hp tractor. If you plan on filling the drum with water, 24hp isnt going to cut it, especially on any type of incline. If you have a lawn tractor, I would recommend getting the 36" drum spike aerator.
