Burn the Witch is certainly an interesting project as Kubo officially returned to Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine with the limited project in a much different kind of capacity than fans might have expected. Not only was it a short, less than five chapter long manga series, but Burn the Witch got an official anime adaptation that premiered right alongside the manga's debut. Tite Kubo's projects will be getting a significant update on May 28th in Japan, and it was specifically teased that both Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War and Burn the Witch will be getting updates of some kind. While it's clear that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will be hyping up the upcoming release of Part 2 later this July as part of the Summer anime schedule, it's less clear as to what Burn the Witch could be teasing outside of maybe new manga chapters. But what if there's more? When Burn the Witch e nded its limited manga run with Shonen Jump, it was quickly announced that Tite Kubo would be returning for a "Season 2" of the story in the future.

With the return of Bleach to TV screens in the form of The Thousand-Year Blood War , Bleach 's creator Tite Kubo has also come out for some interviews and appearances, and in at least one of them, he suggests that he's still working on manga. This is the same interview where Kubo revealed that part 2 of The Thousand-Year Blood War would include a new fight scene not from the manga. However, the interview has since been translated into English by Viz Media, the company responsible for Bleach 's localization in the US, and it turns out that this new original fight scene isn't the only piece of interesting information he dropped in the interview. One topic Kubo discusses is life after writing a weekly manga series like Bleach , and how he approaches his work differently now--but what work exactly is he referring to? In the interview, Kubo is asked about his usual work routine. He answers, "Back when I was working on a weekly series, I started by drawing the first three pages and then let it sit for a day. Ever since I finished doing a weekly series, I draw about five pages to move the story forward and let it sit for a month. I just live my normal life and draw when I come up with something. Kubo also created and released a Bleach anniversary one-shot in August , which many fans believe to be the start of a new "Hell" arc that will eventually be continued as a sequel series. The Bleach manga concluded its original run in August , and since then, Tite Kubo has kept pretty quiet. That was followed up by the aforementioned Bleach one-shot in , but Kubo has had no other published work since the long-running manga concluded. It's known that after Bleach ended, Kubo was suffering from poor mental and physical health , so it makes sense that he would take some time off to recuperate and refresh himself.

Tite Kubo released a special chapter of Bleach in Shonen Jump to mark the 20th-anniversary of the manga series. The page one-shot was published in English by Viz on Monday, after being released in Japanese in Weekly Shonen Jump 's combined edition of issue 36 and Set 12 years after the manga's end, the chapter sees lead character Ichigo Kurosaki take part in a special ceremony with the Soul Society. Despite it being announced as a one-shot, the chapter ended on a dramatic cliffhanger that teased a potential new arc for the manga. Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Renji Abarai and other members of the Soul Society are ambushed by Hollows that have no spiritual pressure before the ceremony can even begin. After fending off their attacks, they are shocked to discover the return of Szayelaporro Granz, who reveals to that the Soul Reapers have been sending the spirits of dead captains to Hell.
