I think it's an Ultra Extreme. Like you said, handles the heat very well.

We managed to get our hands on a new Thermalright cooler that can be considered a real rarity. It is made of pure copper. There are only coolers like that made in the world and today we are proud to offer you a detailed review of one of them. Do you know that the last cooler model released by Thermalright Inc. I am sure you do. But I think very few overclockers know that this cooler was actually officially announced more than a year and a half ago. This is pretty serious age for cooling solutions manufacturers and for the Hi-Tech industry in general.

I need a slimmer cooler so I can put a Thermalright M. PA would have fit I bet.. Is it lapped? This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Log in. Wonder if there's a way to mount it Explore Our Forums. But was using some crazy fans on it.. I inspected it to find it was assembled with heat glue gun and glue melted with it's own heat. Supposedly it's up to 9c less than the old aluminium coldplate one. All brand new purchases tested open-air.

They added two more heatpipes to the Ultra and renamed it the Ultra eXtreme.

I used the stock TRUE "x bracket" and have no idea if that could still be made to work with current day sockets but one could devise some sort of similar mount method, I'm sure. Maybe find and watch them. I've been told Noctua's mount also work on thick base Thermalright coolers but I haven't tried it. Up until it was the best air cooler I had lol. Within a week I got a reply back that they have shipped me the screws and the very next day i received them already free of charge this time , and so i was ready to install the cooler finally. Still using Ultra Extreme and Ultima myself. Complained to TT asking for replacement.. Wonder if there's a way to mount it BTK mount is only compatible with thick base coolers like ones listed below. They just have such different end goals, it's a tough comparison.
