Four Elemental Portals activate, marked on the zone map. Each portal has its own control bar — much like in battlegrounds like Eye of the Storm — so shift the bar from primalist control by killing the attacking waves of enemies. Once players gain control, enemies will keep spawning, so some players will need to stay behind to defend the portal. A few defender NPCs will also appear to help, but they cannot solely defend on their own. The heat source will be useful for the boss fight once all four portals are closed. Should players lose control of the portal, it fully resets and they will need to fill the bar from scratch. At the north end of the area, the Primalist monster loses its immunity shield and becomes attackable.
