With an ever-changing Menu, The Galley only serve what is in season and locally available, so you can be sure that what you are eating is of the best quality and freshness. The Galley has worked hard to create a balanced wine list that includes top favourites along with some interesting options you may not be so familiar with. Great food is nothing without great service however and The Galley put a huge emphasis on matching the service to your needs. The team are on hand to greet you with a friendly smile and make sure you relax and enjoy your meal. What a wonderful experience. We were very lucky to get a last minute table due to somone just cancelling. Everything was faultless, every item cooked to perfection, presented beautifully without being too fussy. Staff couldnt be nicer or more informative about the food and wine. For the quality of the food and the overall experience it was also good value. Will definitely try to visit again when in the area. The fish and shellfish comes from Day Boats landing their catch at Brixham. Some of the fish is line caught and they do not serve species that are under threat on their menus. The mussels and cockles are harvested from the tidal section of the Exe Estuary about 3 miles downstream from The Galley: truly local food you could say!

The Galley, located by Topsham Quay overlooking the Exe estuary, is a comfortable and always popular restaurant. Not surprisingly, given its enviable position, The Galley specialises in serving the very best fish and seafood, landed locally and from nearby South West fishing ports. Mussels from Exmouth are a favourite, as is hand-picked Brixham crab. The selection of fish on the menu changes daily depending on availability and seasonality. Meat lovers and vegetarians are well catered for, too.
