The road to becoming the Founder of the Tattooed Moms Club started to be paved in the late 80s…. When I was in middle school I decided that I wanted a tattoo sleeve. On my left arm. With only black and gray tattoos. I got my first tattoo when I was 18 — a black and gray sun with a face on the inside of my left ankle. Not exactly a perfect start to that left arm, black and gray sleeve I had wanted so badly. Then, 14 years later, that first tattoo got covered up with a purple rose. But, I did have tattoos when I first became a mom. At the time when I got pregnant with my son, who is now 12, I had a total of 3 tattoos.

We may share similarities but, ultimately our personal Motherhood Journey is as unique as we are. Why some mothers continue to compare themselves to others or judge others is really beyond me. I was sure it was just some click-bait title to an article not worth my time. I was SO wrong! Fellow tattooed mom, Gylisa Jayne , had some brilliant words for all of us that could apply to ANY mom — tattooed or not!
