Tamron 70 300 vc portrait
Riding above the typical mm focal length range found in kit and general purpose lenses, tamron 70 300 vc portrait, the mm or similar focal length range is extremely popular - easily covering the range I typically recommend to someone interested in a second lens. Note: I don't consider the gap between 55mm and 70mm to be significant. Either way, the difference between 70mm and mm is obvious. And the overall range is useful.
In August of Tamron released an updated version of its mm telephoto zoom lens, with a few notable improvements. The first and most obvious is the addition of Vibration Control VC technology, to reduce the effect of camera shake and provide sharper images. The lens appears to be completely redesigned, with 4 additional lens elements and a new autofocus system. The lens was designed to fit full-frame film and digital SLR cameras, and on APS-C digital cameras, provides an equivalent field of view of mm Canon or mm Nikon and others. This lens isn't a "constant" lens, in that as you increase the focal length, both the maximum and minimum aperture sizes decrease.

Yes i'm curious about it too. But i'm concerned it might still be too bulky for me despite being the most compact lens of its kind. Nonetheless it looks very interesting. Best regards, Mic. Hi Mic, it's amazing how much sharp this lens is! Which camera have you used here? Hi MeiL. I'm assuming you mean the new Tamron VC, right? In any case, I don't have experience with either lens, so I couldn't tell you. For example, you may want to consider the resale value.
It struggle a little to focus in low light, but hey, it's not f2. It is a large lens but is compensated by results. I preferred the images from the Tammy over the Nikon VR.
This has been a very welcome addition to the market, because the Nikkor had been alone price-wise, and third-party options were not up to the standards. Fortunately, the Tamron is a very viable alternative and it even has some characteristics that surpass its direct rival, as we will see. This mm is the first Tamron lens having the new USD Ultrasonic Silent Drive auto-focus motor for fast and silent focusing, and also the first including their innovative optical stabilizer mechanism, VC Vibration Compensation. Indeed, the lens is very silent and rather quick focusing, but may hunt at times in areas with low contrast, the same happening in low light situations, otherwise the lens focuses quickly. The Tamron is a big fat lens and even with the D is a little front-heavy, but not overly so. The lens allows full-time manual focusing without the need to turn the lens or camera to manual focus.
A new throughbred. High resolution zoom bred for fast focusing. With an XLD lens element to deliver high resolution, image stabilization and a turbo speed silent autofocus, Tamron's new telephoto zoom makes it easy to capture the most difficult shots. The new optical design of Tamron's advanced telephoto zoom lens delivers a whole new world of possibilities. It allows the photographer to draw the subject close and separate them from their background, creating photographs with spectacular contrast and depth. It gives the photographer the ability to capture fast moving subjects without blurring even in low light, and its new optical design that employs an XLD Extra Low Dispersion lens element made with highly specialized glass delivers crisp, clear images with sharp contrast. This lens' advanced optical design employs a sophisticated XLD Extra Low Dispersion lens element made from specialized high-grade glass that has lower dispersive properties than standard LD lenses where refraction causes the dispersion of white light into spectral hues. The dispersive properties of the XLD lens are at a level similar to fluorite, and in combination with LD elements make for an optimal optical design that delivers best in class resolution with advanced axial chromatic and magnification aberration correction - major inhibitors of image quality enhancement. The result is a lens that delivers sharp contrast and better descriptive performance throughout the entire zoom range. It achieves faster focusing making this telephoto lens perfect for photography of sports, vehicles, and other fast-moving subjects.

A clump of whitespirebirch tree trunks provides three-dimensionality within a narrow range of colors. Long focal lengths isolate a small area of view - offering a wide range of compositions of a scene visible from a single position. Sometimes all it takes to be a winner is to raise your arms when the picture is taken. Fields at the top of mountains allow for an undistracting sky background. Clumps of crocuses are not hard to find, but finding the right composition to capture them in is much more difficult. In this frame, I aligned the flowers so that they formed an extended S-curve through the frame. This eastern chipmunk is watching for danger while filling its pouches with sunflower seeds.

So far the results are stellar and pretty close to the results from using Canon L4. Already have a WordPress. The focus and zoom rings are smooth with little play. At mm there's little difference between the two lenses over the whole of the APS-C frame. This will be more visibly explained below in the vignetting test. For many other zoom lenses over the market, the resolution drops starting mm and onward. Slightly more CA is visible in the left side of the frame than the right. I have owned many zoon lenses and this is one of the best I have used. When reversed, the lens hood fits onto the lens compactly - but covers the entire zoom ring. These were taken using a sturdy tripod and the best shot of a sequence chosen since atmospheric effects can sometimes blur images. Either way, the difference between 70mm and mm is obvious. Best regards, Mic. I also used an EOS 5D to look at the image quality at the edges and corners of the full 35mm frame.

Colors are very nice although a bit cool. I also went down to my local camera shop to compare the both in person. In contrast, Canon USM is near silence. On the 1Ds Mark III however, it's a different story: you have to stop down significantly to get images which don't show some kind of light falloff in the corners. For the ''VFA'' target the viewfinder accuracy target from Imaging Resource , we also provide sample crops from the center and upper-left corner of each shot, so you can quickly get a sense of relative sharpness, without having to download and inspect the full-res images. I am grateful for your support! For instance, the performance at mm is particularly good and looks even better than its 70mm. The Tamron shows slightly less chromatic aberration and slightly better sharpness in the corner though. My Affiliate Retailers. The VC locks on like a guided missle!
