Titled Sync 4, the software and user interface took much of what made Sync 3 an excellent system and improved upon it. However, customers with Sync 3 in their new Ford model feel left out. Sorry, there was a problem. My intent when trying to swap Sync 4 in was to gain wireless Carplay, and while that did work, the other functions not working were a deal breaker for me. I do use the built in Nav a decent amount, and have actually started using the hotspot functionality when my phone doesn't have signal, so I went back to Sync 3 and purchased a wireless Carplay dongle off of Amazon.
