Suggested by DranDivine , January 20, Those orbital supply drop events on extinction would have been very good if it wasn't for the eternity at the end of almost any round where you can do nothing because the remaining enemies got stuck somewhere or is attacking other wild creatures. I seriously waited around doing basically nothing for a solid 5 minutes on my last drop at the end of a round because of this issue. It's boring as all hell. So what can be done? First of all, make sure you spawn the corrupted creatures in a place where they can reach the drop on food except if they are a flyer. I have seen several corrupt creatures trying to run in a straight line towards the drop and then end up falling into a hole or ravine and get stuck.

There are 4 different types of OSDs, each one varying in difficulty, health, and potential rewards. An OSD defense mission is initiated by simply approaching it, which will cause a force-field to spawn around it, beginning the first wave. This force-field will protect the OSD from the waves of corrupted creatures, but will shrink as it absorbs damage.
Supply crates Beacons , or Rifts as some people call them, are large crystals of different colors that drop from the sky and can be opened upon reaching certain level milestones. The color of the drop indicates what level you must be in order to open the crate. They can also hold blueprints which will allow you to save your EP for other engrams. Each supply crate will start as a small, spherical storm in the sky with a colored beam reaching towards the ground. This gives you a signal as to where the supply crate will land relative to your location. Lower level crates typically stay along the beaches and forests where there are less hazards to your health. Higher level crates tend to land in areas where the threats to your survival become real. You'll have to use your judgment as to when it might be worth venturing out for a crate and when it is best left alone. Once a supply crate lands it shoots a beam of colored light towards the sky and starts with health.
