Crafting is a gameplay mechanic that allows you to create tools , buildings , and items using available resources. You can access the crafting menu by pressing C. The crafting menu will provide you with the recipes for all current craftable items. Keep in mind that in order to craft certain items such as buildings or garden plots , you will need to have a special tool equipped i. The resources available for crafting at any given time are determined by both proximity and your inventory. Items near you on the ground as well as those in your inventory will be available in the crafting menu. While in the crafting menu, an orange circle will appear in the background to indicate what resources are within your crafting radius. Once an item is crafted, you must place it on the ground or on the attachment you desire. Be aware that if you position items too close together, or too close to resources on the ground, you will not be able to place them. The Water Still is the only structure that continually produces drinkable water.
