If the general thought is that this is an ok thing to do, I was wondering about the temperatures in each viv I use ceramic bulbs, and obviously the heat source would need to be at the same end of each viv, but there would surely also be residual heat from each viv getting through to the other, either through floor or ceiling. I figured the viv on the top would end up warmer? I guess you could run both bulbs from one thermostat? Any opinions gratefully received Many thanks, Moogie. I currently have a 5ft viv on the ground with two 3fts, one on top of the other, on top and an arboreal viv next to them, and a 33L RUB on top of that :whistling2: I don't have any issues with heat transferrence although I use heat mats instead of bulbs - I think it's possible to fit a reflector to certain overhead heaters which will help direct most of the heat back in to the vivarium it's installed in. Our top viv was getting too hot with the heat coming up and it's bulb so It has a slightly less powerful bulb. Put the snake that seems to like the heat most at the top.
