Won't run deer and can wind a track as well as tree by sight no problem. She is a little girl only about 25 pounds and will hunt all day. She is perfect for kids and to hunt with other dogs. Very gentle and is a pleasure to own. Only problem I have with her is that sometimes she miss-trees. I ain't sure if the squirrel jumps trees and she gets hung up on the one he went up, but none the less, we kill squirrels over her all the time. Just not as many as we probably could. She is a little more cold nosed than I would like her to be. That being said, she would make a fantastic combo dog for coon and squirrel-I just ain't never tried her on coon. She is priced to sell and you won't regret having her! She hates a squirrel with a vengeance. She stays trees hard and will bark every breath. I am located in central Arkansas.

Mountain Feist Dogs from our kennel have gone on to become top notch hunters in all four corners of North America. The Mountain Feist dogs we produce at Shadowtail Kennels are exclusively for use as squirrel hunting dogs or to serve as working dogs on farms or game dogs in other rural areas. Please understand that our kennel does not produce any Mountain Feist puppies or young dogs to be placed into pet or non-hunting homes. Ability is the main focus of our breeding program and I prefer that these dogs are placed with people who will work them and let them realize their full potential as squirrel dogs.
